Good Samaritan is staffed entirely by volunteers and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Home delivery volunteers are needed to deliver meals to the homebound in our community. Volunteering one hour a week provides a great service to our community and well needed socialization for those seniors whose lives you are touching through your efforts.

This month please donate personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, etc.) by October 31st.

Personal care items cannot be purchased with food stamps and their clients are very thankful to receive them.

Thank you to the parishioners of Good Shepard and St. Margaret Mary for your invaluable support of Good Samaritan Ministries in 2023.

Good Samaritan distributed 2,985 boxes of food to families, 83 supplementary food bags to individuals, plus 100 Christmas boxes of food to residents of Franklin County. We also assisted 854 families with utility bills and had 3,038 clients browse our donated household goods and clothing areas. 

The heart of our ability to serve those in need within our community comes from people like you.

 Life Choices has an "Earn While You Learn" parenting program and Baby Boutique designed to help parents with the challenges of pregnancy, newborn care, toddler training and parenting support. Your donated items help to stock the Baby Boutique.

Life Choices Pregnancy Support Center now has three locations, one in Winchester, one in Manchester, and one in Coalmount. They provide vital services to our local communities, including pregnancy testing, ultrasound services, low cost diapers, formula and baby clothing. If you have not been by one of the Centers lately, please stop in for a visit. You are always welcome.
