At Christmas, we all love seeing the baby Jesus lying in a manger surrounded by animals, angels, Mary, and Joseph. We say in the Creed that God became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, became a human. But is that all the Incarnation is about? Come join us for a talk by Robin Gottfried, parishioner and retired founding director of the Center for Religion and Environment at The University of the South. Robin will help us recapture an often-forgotten part of our Catholic heritage by exploring the profound implications that the Incarnation holds for our faith, our world, and our everyday walk with God. The talk will include lots of opportunities for questions and group discussion. Although it will be given in English, Robin will gladly answer questions or comments spoken in Spanish and respond likewise in Spanish. This is the first in a series of talks Robin will offer in the coming year to help us grow together in a deeper experience and understanding of our faith. All are welcome. (Light refreshments will be provided by the Parish Family Life Committee.)
